Kat Simison
Network Director of Enrollment & External AffairsBiography
Kathryn (Kat) Simison joined Brewster Madrid in its founding year, 2023, as the Network Director of Enrollment and External Affairs. Kat graduated from Holy Cross in 2011 with a double major in Spanish and International Studies and began her career in global education. She started her trajectory with a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Reinosa, Spain, followed by a move to La Coruña, Spain to teach English and work as a study abroad consultant. She returned to the United States in 2015 where she worked as the Director of International Recruitment at Miss Porter's School. During that time, Kat received her M.B.A with an international business concentration from the University of Hartford in 2020 and started a family. Kat is excited to be back in Spain with Brewster to foster global education and expand the American education in Madrid. She also maintains her ties to her own impactful educational experiences as a member of the University of Hartford Alumni GOLD Board and Co-VP board position for the Fulbright Spain Interest Group. In her free time, you can find Kat out on a run, exploring new restaurants, traveling to new destinations, or at the local park with her husband, daughter, and dog.

Rocio Zaballa
Admission OfficerBiography
Rocío Zaballa started working at Brewster Madrid in March 2023, as a founding member of the Admissions Department. In 2017, she graduated with a double degree in Business Administration and Management and a Higher Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management from ESIC Business & Marketing School. Before that, she received an associates degree in Administration and Finance. For seven years, she developed her professional career in the Admissions Department at ESIC, starting with an internship and reaching the position of director. During her university studies, she spent her free time working weekends doing what she loves most, racket sports, teaching tennis and paddle to children and adults. In 2023, she had the opportunity to launch the Brewster Madrid campus in Chamberí, and in 2025 she did the same at the La Moraleja campus, where she is in charge of admissions for grades from K1 to G7. Rocío really enjoys her job because of the relationship with her colleagues and the opportunity of getting to know the families and the future students who are considering Brewster. Rocío loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as competing in paddle tournaments since she was a child.

Isabel Palacios
Admission OfficerBiography
Isabel (Isa) has been part of the Brewster family since February 2023, joining the school’s founding team within the Admissions Department. Born and raised in Madrid, she holds a degree in Business Administration from ESIC Business School in Madrid and an MBA from Schiller University in London. Her professional journey has taken her to London, Mexico, Brazil, and Spain, where she has worked on various social projects related to education and served as the director of several national and international schools. Her greatest passion is traveling and discovering new countries and cultures, always accompanied by her three daughters.

Meghan O'Farrell
Assistant Director of AdmissionsBiography
Meghan has been with Brewster Madrid since it opened its doors in 2023. She works as the Assistant Director of Admissions on our Chamberí campus overseeing the admissions process for 8th-12th grade applicants. Meghan is also the AP Macroeconomics teacher. She graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2008 with a B.A. in Political Science, from the IE School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs with an M.A. in International Relations, and from the University of Massachusetts Lowell's School of Education with an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to her role at Brewster, Meghan was teaching Economics at Alegra British and International School in Majadahonda and oversaw the admissions process for the IE Brown Executive MBA between IE Business School and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Originally from Ohio, Meghan has been living in Madrid for 14 years.

Mr. Roberto Muñoz Blanco
Admissions OfficerBiography
Roberto Muñoz Blanco joined Brewster Madrid in iOctober 2024, as the Admissions Officer for grades 8 to 12 at La Moraleja Campus.
Roberto graduated from ESIC Business School in 2006 with a Higher Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management and in 2023 with an Official Degree in Marketing at ESIC University.
He started his trajectory in 1999 working in Canon Europa N.V. Headquarter in Amsterdam in the Photo-Video Marketing department; in 2001 he returned to Spain to develop and manage a Family Company in Madrid with 30 employees in the printing sector, also under the umbrella of Canon as a brand.
From 2014 to 2020, he combined his responsibilities in the family business with his incorporation into ESIC University as a professor of various marketing subjects. From 2021 onwards, his professional career focused solely on teaching, where he became Director of the Higher Degree in Global Marketing Management at the university. He also actively collaborated with the admissions department.
In 2024, Roberto decided to change direction in his professional life without leaving education, but moving from university education to basic education with Brewster, where he continues to develop the American institution's project in Madrid.
In his free time, Roberto will be riding his motorbike all over the world, learning about other cultures and countries, sampling their cuisine and learning about their history, also watching and enjoying live sport and music festivals.
